Cook the sausage, jalapenos, green onion whites and Worcestershire sauce.
Drain any of the excess fat from the skillet and pour the sausage into the bottom of a baking dish.
Bring water to a boil and gradually whisk in the grits. Reduce the heat and cook, stirring frequently, until the grits are thick and creamy.
Remove from the heat and stir in the butter, cheese, milk and beaten eggs until the mixture is smooth, then pour it over the sausage.
Sprinkle with cheese and bake until the top is golden brown.
