Whether it’s summer or winter, I love a good cold refreshing drink. Blame it on growing up in South Florida with its warmer temperatures. We would drink lemonade all year long.
This cranberry lemonade is a nice spin on traditional classic lemonade. With just a few ingredients and a few steps, you can have this ready to impress your guests at your next get together.
How to make Cranberry Lemonade
Any good lemonade recipe is started by making a simple syrup. Start by adding 1 cup of water and 1 cup of sugar to a saucepan and stirring over medium heat. Bring mixture to a boil and boil until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and set aside until the mixture cools.
Squeeze 1 cup of lemon juice from fresh lemons. I use a citrus juicer to get as much juice as I can and to ensure I have no seeds in my lemon juice.
In a pitcher, stir the simple syrup, cranberry juice, lemon juice, and 1 ½ cups of water until combined. Place in refrigerator until chilled, about 1-2 hours. Serve in glasses and top with frozen cranberries.
And there you have it, refreshing cranberry lemonade. It’s perfect for the Holiday parties when you want a nice twist on traditional lemonade.
NOTES:
The frozen cranberries are not required but they make a nice addition to this drink recipe. I add them as a garnish and to keep the drink chilled without adding ice so your drink won’t get watered down.

Planning to try this recipe! I see cranberry juice noted in the list of ingredients, but don’t see it in the instructions. Do you just add this when mixing the lemon juice and simple syrup? Also, wondering if the amount of simple syrup needs to be doubled if adding an extra cup of juice, or if the ratio is actually 2:1 instead of 1:1. Thanks!

Hi Laura, Sorry about that, I just updated the post. The cranberry juice is added in the pitcher along with the other ingredients. If adding an extra cup of both lemon and cranberry juice, I would double it. But if only adding 1 cup of juice, I'd just add about 1/2 cup sugar to the simple syrup.
